Modeling Stakeholders and Their Activities of Interest

You can describe the stakeholders involved in a target domain and their activities of interest using the Activity Template. To bring up the Activity Template, click on the Activity Template button in the toolbar. The Activity Template is a hierarchical view of activity models that allows you to perform detailed modeling about activity structures.

You can add a new role by clicking on "+", and remove a role by clicking on "-". You can also let ActivityDesigner automatically extract roles for you, which the system will extract roles from the textual comments of scenes.

You can click on a role to expand its property list that includes actions that the role might perform and situations that the role might be involved in, which are also the interest for design. You can remove actions or situations from the list to simplify the list for a particular role. You can also add detailed properties specific to an action, e.g., a speed property to the running workout.
